James Schramko Extends A Very Special Invitation To My Readers

Posted on December 2010

***UPDATE:  THIS WAS A LIMITED OFFER, WHICH HAS NOW BEEN WITHDRAWN BY JAMES. STAY TUNED FOR ITS REINTRODUCTION.***
I am very closely involved in the internet marketing world, particularly in the provision of SEO content for some high level internet marketers in many countries.

It would be impossible for me to work in this industry without becoming aware of who the REAL experts are.  I make no secret of the fact that meeting  James Schramko (in very strange circumstances) resulted in giving me the knowledge and tools I needed to venture into this strange new world, when I had already past the half-century (something to which Australian cricketers currently aspire). What Does Your Client REALLY Want?

Posted on December 2010

Excellent service providers and consultants work really hard to provide the very best to their clients, and this doesn’t just happen by accident.

Particularly in the case of new clients, where no prior relationship exists, it is really important for both parties to have a clear idea about the expected outcome of a project. By clearly spelling out what is required, how it is to be accomplished and when it will be completed are the basics, but the type of project will dictate other requirements and outcomes. Its Cool To Be Kind (and Other Great Lessons)

Posted on September 2010

I’m writing this on a flight home from Sydney Australia having been totally blown away by the information that was shared at FastWebFormula2 (you can pre order the DVDs).  This intermediate to advanced internet marketing event, was the brainchild of world-renowned IMer, James Schramko, who invited me to manage the event for him.

In fact I have help James create all but the first of his training workshops – with each one being more polished and cutting edge than the last. Read the rest of this entry »

The Difference Between Web Page Copy And Articles

Posted on August 2010

Powerful Articles For Your Website

I am often asked by clients to write SEO articles for their websites – something I enjoy immensely. Original articles are a great way to add quality content to your websites – when they are relevant, with correct keyword placement – search engines love them.

Once you have posted them to your site, you can then submit them, or variations of them to directories and networks. You can repurpose them into various Web 2.0 incarnations like Squidoo lenses or Hubs on HubPages.

On niche or affiliate blogs, they can make up the bulk of your content as posts.

Website Pages Are Different

Articles, however, should not be confused with authority website pages e.g. your static landing page (Home), Product or Services Pages, About, Privacy Policy etc. Read the rest of this entry »

The Changing Face of Working From Home

Posted on July 2010

(This post is more information to listeners following my interview with ABC Radio on Wednesday 14 July 2010)

I remember when my mother used to work from home. She was a seamstress, and every week a clothing manufacturer would deliver her the components of dresses which she would then assemble. It was called ‘piecework’, and she was paid a pittance for the long hours she worked.

Her big industrial sewing machine would be whirring when I got up in the morning, and when I went to bed a night. There was great excitement for we kids when she was delivered pieces with sharp pleats – there was always pleated tissue paper involved, which made soft landings for somersaults and crude facsimiles of hula skirts. Media Releases Are Like Gold

Posted on June 2010

Successful internet marketers have realized the value of submitting online Media Releases, and rightly so – they are extremely powerful for both traffic and links:

  • When expertly crafted they can make ‘news’ out of an everyday business operation
  • When distributed through premium quality services, they are picked up by the top online news agencies – all around the world
  • When laid out with expertise – headline, summary, body, quotes, images, they have the power to become worthwhile content for online news sites
  • When using well-researched keywords and anchor text well, your search engine rankings will soar

Writing and assembling a successful online media release requires employing strategies that are different from other types of SEO content writing, and even old-school offline media releases.

As well, there are different platforms and services that can be used for media release distribution and each will deliver different results.

I offer two packages for Media Releases:

1. Supply only of Media Release

2. A comprehensive service that includes:

The price for either service rests with the business niche concerned. For example material on a highly technical or medical nature, that requires more research time, may incur an extra premium.  For specifics on what is included in each, please go to the Online Media Releases page.

To demonstrate actual, recent, results – here are some examples of media releases I have prepared for clients.

The first reflects results in Google just 10 days after the release:

In case you find the number of results for this exact search term difficult to read, it is:

But the thing about online media releases is that they go viral, and continue to work for you for weeks, even months after they are first published.  Here is a real gob-smacking result from a media release I prepared for a client – the results are 5 weeks after first publication:

This release has proved immensely successful for my client, adding, they believe tens of thousands of dollars to the value of their business by virtue of their improved Google ranking.  Just to make the page results quite clear:

These results are obtained through the professional construction of the media release, but to do so a writer needs to understand clients’ businesses.  In both of the examples above, the clients had also invested over time (and continue to do so) in a variety of SEO content services with me, which has enabled me to really understand what they were trying to achieve with the online media release.

For specifics on what is included in each, please go to the Online Media Releases page.
